With the Liquid Express, dated latest smartphone announced by Acer, the company embarked on the race for the NFC, intended to contribute to the development of contactless payment via mobile devices.
If contactless payment is being slowly implemented in Europe and specifically in France – Nice, Strasbourg and, more recently, figure as pioneers – it is also because the mobile manufacturers are taking their time to integrate NFC (Near Field communication) in their terminals. Acer took the leap with the Liquid Express, youngest of its Liquid range, which is the first smartphone brand to integrate NFC.
design side, nothing seems to differentiate the previous Liquid models, and hardware side, this Express offers nothing particularly revolutionary: Qualcomm 800 Mhz processor, 512 MB RAM, HVGA touch screen 3.5 inches, 5 Megapixel photo sensor , WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, all running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Liquid Express is thus a main objective to mark the arrival of NFC in Acer, as the company took advantage of the presentation of this new smartphone to clarify that all terminals will be equipped from now. Acer has for the press time or price or availability date.
